巴西反对党总统候选人抨击当前的经济政策

RIO DE JANEIRO, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's opposition presidential candidate Eduardo Campos criticised on Tuesday the current economic policy, demanding greater transparency.

Campos, the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB) candidate, accused the government of President Dilma Rousseff of artificially keeping inflation under the target rate of 4.5 percent.
"You cannot sweep it all under the rug as was done (before) and then have the people deal with the problem later on," said Campos, one of Rousseff's major rivals in the October presidential election.
Campos criticized the government for halting the inflation rate, saying it wasn't normal for Brazil to have low growth along with high inflation and interest rates.
The country "cannot withstand" a system in which industry scarcely grows while food prices and rents continue to rise, said Campos, who currently serves as governor of northeastern Pernambuco state.
Acting out of his normal discreetness, Campos has recently begun to openly slash at Rousseff, which has been regarded as part of a campaign strategy for the election.
