China has pledged to supply humanitarian aid to help the people of Syria. The news was confirmed by Chen Xiaodong, director general of the department of West Asia and North Africa in China's foreign Ministry. 

Chen made the announcement after holding talks with Arab League Secretary General, Nabil Al Araby. During the meeting, they discussed regional affairs, including the Syrian crisis. They also focused on preparations for the 10th China Arab Forum that will take place in Beijing in June
