 A 15-year-old boy found his way onto an airport's tarmac and into a jetliner's wheel well, later flying for 5 hours to Hawaii. The boy had passed out in the air and did not regain consciousness until an hour after the plane's ending.

 
Police in Dallas say a man was fatally shot after pointing a gun at officers during a standoff following a car chase. The chase began when officers tried to take the suspect into custody after learning he had felony warrants for his arrest.
 
The death count in the South Korean ferry sinking now tops over 100 with nearly 200 people still missing. The body count has steadily risen as divers made their way into the submerged ferry over the weekend.
 
And thousands lined up to bid farewell Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The Columbia Nobel laureate considered one of the greatest Spanish language authors of all time. He was eulogized by the presidents of both Mexico and Columbia.
