林一峰是香港土生土长的创作歌手，未受过正统音乐训练，是靠自学而弹吉他、作曲、写词，学生时代已经常参加音乐相关表演，从1993年在香港商业电台主持节目出道后，先后作词、作曲、演唱歌曲百余首，2003年又凭个人首张专辑“床头歌”奠定其香港、甚至中国城市民谣代表的地位，他是香港本地独立歌手的佼佼者。2012年4月8日，获得第十二届音乐风云榜年度盛典最佳民谣歌手
