Full coverage: Air Algerie Flight Lost Radar Contact after Takeoff French President Francois Hollande said Friday there were no survivors of the downed Air Algerie jetliner, and one of the aircraft’s two black boxes has been found in the wreckage.

French officials dispatched a military unit to secure the crash site in northern Mali, where the Air Algerie plane crashed killing 116 people on board on Thursday. 

France’s interior minister said Friday that terrorism cannot be ruled out as a cause of the tragedy, although it seems more likely that bad weather caused the crash. President Hollande said the recovered black box was found in Mali’s Gossi region, and has been taken to the northern Mali city of Gao.
