Hong Kong, the world’s third biggest comic market after Japan and the US, is set to host the Animation-Comic-Games Expo from July 25th.

"It’s the first of the five-day Animation, Comic and Games Hong Kong.  And not even the searing heat of summer could keep these Cosplayers from dressing up to their favorite anime characters, as we’re just minutes away from the opening ceremony of Ani-Com, right in the world’s third biggest comic market after Japan and the U.S. – Hong Kong.  There is just so much fanfare in this event.  It’s the 14th edition and yet it never fails to draw in fans in search for anime and collectibles, or just wanting to rub elbows with artists big on the local comic scene.  But nothing quite compares to the huge reception rivals Microsoft and Sony get from gamers wanting in on the latest game titles and newest consoles, such as the long-awaited X-box One." said Cathy Yang in Hong Kong.

“I came to play this game today because I saw the trailer online. I like it.”

“You want to go for some of the Kinect experience; there are a couple of titles.  There’s Kinect Sports Rivals, which makes use of the latest kinetic technologies which can really track your bodies.” said Anna Chow, Head of Marketing, Microsoft.

Rival Sony isn’t about to be left out. For the first time Sony chose to stage its wares here instead of the usual Asia Game Show, presumably to entice a younger audience.

"Here goes Sackboy. This is the new LittleBigPlanet3.  It only runs on the PS4 console and the PSVita portable console. And I’m going to try to get him to fulfill his mission.” said Cathy Yang.

“We find in the Ani-Com there is a lot of traffic for the PS4.  There is a lot for young people.  They love to go here.” Jacqualine Chiu, Assistant GM HK & SE Asia, Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong said.

There’s enough gadgetry to get curious with, and loads of eye candies one would want to do up a selfie with – just for the heck of it.
