 1. Israel struck 5 mosques, a sports stadium and the home of the late Hamas military chief across the Gaza Strip, a Gaza police official said Tuesday.  Israel hit more than 70 targets overnight, reducing two mosques to rubbles. 

 
2. New Mexico teenagers, accused of fatally beating two homeless men beyond recognition, are facing murder charges. A judge has ordered them to be held on 5 million dollars bond. Police say they are also investigating claims by one of the teens that the trio had been terrorizing the homeless around Albuquerque for months. 
 
3. Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau warned typhoon Matmo is expected to make landfall in eastern Taiwan earlier Wednesday morning. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry has dispatched more than 55,000 soldiers and 200 military vehicles which are on standby to provide relief and rescue assistance. 
 
4. Authorities in central Washington say calmer winds and cooler temperatures could help them fight the biggest wildfire that the State has on record. The Carlton in complex of fires has burned about 379 square miles. As of Monday, it was only 2% contained.
