 Let’s take a look at the satellite image, a low pressure system over the Tasman sea is directing very strong southwesterly winds along the New South Wales coast and triggering patchy showers along the coastal fringe. And upper level over Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory is producing patchy light drizzle. 

 
Looking around the country, Queensland can expect some strong winds along the southern coastline. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day ahead. 
 
In New South Wales, a cold morning followed by a sunny day for inland. Isolated showers along the coast.  
 
Victoria can expect light showers near the coast this afternoon. A cold morning and mostly sunny through the inland. To Tasmania, a few showers in the west and south, dry and sunny in the east. 
 
For South Australia, cold in the east. Light winds with / cloud, and isolated showers in the coast. 
 
Patchy rain in the eastern parts of Western Australia. Showers developing in the southwest and possible storms.
 
And in the Northern Territory, it will be partly cloudy in the north. Sunny in the south.
 
And looking ahead to Sunday’s forecast for the capitals. The possible light shower in Brisbane. Showers also in Sydney. Sunny in Canberra. Cloudy in Melbourne, Hobart and Adelaide. Showers easing in Perth, and sunny in Darwin.
