3. The Director of the US Centres for Disease Control was in New Guinea visiting an Ebola isolation centre. The deadly West Africa outbreak started in Guinea, and now spread to four other countries. The World Health Organization is treating Senegal’s first confirmed Ebola case as a top priority emergency.
 
4. And the first person to swim from Havana to Key West, without a shark tank was honoured in Cuba with the country’s Order of Sporting Merit Award. And during the swim, Dianna Nyad called it the most prestigious award she has received.
