The world's oldest diamond market is in the historic Belgium port city of Antwerp. One Monday morning in Feburary 2003, a bombshell landed on the desk of diamond scout detective Arc de Bruycker.
-I'll never forget the date.
It was the first ever reported break-in at the city's famous diamond center, home to merchants and hundreds of millions dollars worth of diamonds. The center's formidable underground fort had never been breached.
-Once we've arrived at the ground scene, it was clear to us something very serious happened. It was complete chaos. All the safes were open. Papers, documents, jewels and money, everything was spreaded around.
