 1. New Jersey governor Chris Christie defending his decision to mandate a 21-day quarantine for all health-care workers returning from Ebola-ravaged West Africa. Christie appeared on Fox News Sunday as a nurse currently being quarantined in Newark spoke to CNN saying the isolation process is inhumane. 

 
2. In Hawaii, lava flows are inching closer to residents in the town of Pahoa. Several dozen people were ordered to evacuate Saturday as molten rock inched forward at 10 yards per hour. 
 
3. A workout for firefighters in Arizona who had to rescue a horse from a swimming pool. It’s not clear why the horse ended up in the pool. The crew tranquilized the animal and safely pulled it out onto dry land. 
 
4. And in Ukraine, Darth Vader is denied the vote in the parliamentary election. The man who legally changed his name to the Star Wars villain is running for a spot in the new government. He was turned away at the polls Sunday for refusing to take off his mask to be identified.
