 Political change has swept the nation. Republicans took control of the Senate on election day and solidified their majority in the House. The GOP picked up at least 7 Senate seats.

 
Republicans also had a strong showing in the races for governor, winning elections in Florida, Massachusetts and elsewhere including a surprising upset in Maryland.
 
Authorities say the trail of eveidence from an abduction caught on video in Philadelphia has led them to a convenince store in Maryland. The suspect's identity remains unknown.
 
And a new survey says people with mobile phones text and drive even though they are aware of the danger. 25% say they are fullly capable of multitasking behind the wheel.
