 1. Families in Nairobi are in the process of identifying the bodies of 28 victims of a deadly bus attack in Kenya. Officials say the Islamic extremist group Al Shabab singled out and killed passengers who could not recite an Islamic creed and were assumed to be non-Muslims. 19 men and 9 women were killed. 

 
2. Officials are urging Buffalo residents to prepare for widespread flooding after an epic snow storm dumped more than 7 feet of snow. NY governor Andrew Cuomo said snow removal is progressing well across the affected region. A ban on driving will continue as volunteers work to plow the city streets. 
 
3. A train carrying wreckage collected from the Malaysian Airlines flight 17 departed from northeastern Ukraine four months after the plane was shot down over rebel-held territory. Investigation into the cause of the crash is being conducted in both Ukraine and Netherlands. Ukraine says pro-Russian backed separatists fired rockets that brought down the plane in July. 
 
4. And the former DC mayor Marion Barry has died at age of 78. Barry whose four terms as mayor were overshadowed by his 1990 arrest for being caught smoking crack cocaine. Barry spent several weeks earlier this year battling infections and related complications.
