Some police officers attending the funeral of Wenjian Liu, turned their backs on New York Mayor Bill de Blasio while he gave a eulogy Sunday. Leaders of the police union say de Blasio hasn’t been supportive enough of police. Liu was killed along with his partner officer Rafael Ramos on December 20th. 
 
Three more bodies have been pulled from the Java (mistaken as Hava) Sea as weather continues to hamper the search and rescue efforts for victims of Air-Asia flight 8501. So far the remains of 34 of 162 people aboard the flight have been recovered.
 
President Barack Obama is back in Washington after spending two weeks with his family in Hawaii. Obama’spublic schedule picks back up Tuesday when he meets with the Mexican president.The same day a Republican-run Congress will convene.
 
And Stuart Scott, the longtime“Sports Center” anchor and ESPN personality died Sunday at the age of 49. Scott had fought cancer since a diagnosis in late 2007. He is survived by his parents, two children, three siblings and his girlfriend.
