CCTV9英语新闻:从世界观中国的发展(在线收听

The NPC and CPPCC sessions are being closely watched by people from outside of China. CCTV’s reporters have spoken with people from around the world to find out how they see China and its recent development.

"China is an economic miracle and it's visible all around the country, not only in Beijing and Shanghai, but also other provinces. Obviously this is the something that is unprecedented in the history of mankind and I think we should all pay respect to what the people of China have achieved," said Jan Hamacek, chairman of Czech Parliament Chamber Of Deputies.

"As you know, our position is, we support a stable, prosperous China. We think Xi Jinping's initiatives of the third plenary reforms, the fourth plenary related to the rule of law are important. We'd like to see steps to support the initiatives taken at the two big meetings," said Evan Medeiros, director of US National Security Council Asian Affairs.

"I think during the two sessions, these topics will be the focus points. Anti-corruption, environment protection, and balance in economic development," said a Russian journalist.

"I think the biggest development in China in recent years is that the government and the people are going forward with less and less burden. China is becoming more relaxed; Chinese people are becoming more relaxed; Chinese people are becoming happier, and they are giving that mood to the whole world," a Brazilian citizen said.

"I know there has been a lot of development in the last five years, particularly not just in Beijing, but in Shanghai and some of the other outward phasing cities. But I'd like to go back in person and see what changes they made," a New Zealand citizen said.
