1. After more than 24 hours of searching, rescuers in West Virginia still haven't been able to make contact with two missing miners. Rescue crews have been working since an underground conveyer belt caught fire last night. 19 other workers managed to escape without injury.

2. This is new video of the man who shot Pope John Paul II in 1981 being taken back in the police custody. A Turkey's appeals court ruled today, Mehmet Ali Agca must return to prison to serve more time for killing a journalist in 1979 and other crimes. Agca was released from prison last week after a local court ruled he fulfilled his sentence.

3. Former President Gerald Ford remains hospitalized in California for a 7th day. The oldest living president is receiving treatment for pneumonia. His staff initially said he returned home yesterday, but doctors decided to keep him a bit longer.
