2. Islamic State militants hammered, bulldozed and ultimately blew up parts of the ancient Iraqi city of Nimrud, a site dating back to the 13th century BC. Online militant video purportedly shows the attack on the city, which has horrified archaeologists. 
3. Pope Francis honored the 100th anniversary of mass killings of Armenians by killing it 'the first genocide of the 20th century'. Francis defended his pronouncement by saying it was his duty to honor the memory of those killed. 
4. And residents in Serbia got a crack at Easter celebrations with their annual egg cracking festival. The competition marked to be Orthodox Christian Easter holiday while participants tried to crack their eggs against their competitors in the day-long challenge.
