 Thousands attended the funeral for 25-year-old Freddie Gray held in Baltimore Monday where community and political figures spoke on his death. Gray died after suffering a critical spinal injury while he was in police custody. His death has prompted numerous marches and rallies in the area.

 
Homes across Nepal are in ruins as aftershocks from an earthquake rattled the region over the weekend. The death toll from the disaster soared past 4000 as rescuers search for survivors. The State Department says at least 4 Americans have died.
 
Prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe is continuing his stateside visit in Boston. Abe laid a wreath at the site of the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing before speaking at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. The leader will attend a state dinner at the White House on Tuesday.
 
And Loretta Lynch has been sworn in as the United States' 83rd Attorney General following months-long delay after her nomination. Lynch replaces Eric Holder, and is the first African-American woman to hold the post.
