 Let’s take a look at the satellite. Tropical Cyclone Owen is producing heavy rain gales over Western Australia while on the other side of the country, Tropical Cyclone Nathan is generating heavy rain and thunderstorms over far northern Queensland. 

 
Looking around the country, wind, rain and storms easing in the northeast of Queensland. Showers easing on the coast, sunny and hot in the west. 
 
In New South Wales, we’ve got early showers in the northeast of the state clearing. Mostly sunny and very warm in the west.
 
Cloud increasing in the south of Victoria with late showers expected. Moderate westerly winds with late sea breezes. 
 
Cloud and wind increasing ahead of cooler change in Tasmania. Showers forecast mainly in the west of the state with the odd shower in the east. 
 
South Australia can expect very warm conditions in the north with the odd shower in the southeast. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
 
In WA, Tropical Cyclone Owen is expected to continue to weaken as it tracks in the southeast along the mid-west. 
 
Showers and storms in the southwest of the state. Isolated showers and storms in the north and west of Top End. Mostly sunny and hot elsewhere.
 
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capital cities, a shower or two in Sydney and Perth. An early shower in Melbourne. Sunny and 32 in Brisbane. Partly cloudy in Adelaide, Hobart and Canberra. And a possible storm in Darwin.
