Hello, everyone. The cyclone focus will shift from the cape over to the Top End for next few days. It’s weakening as it moves west but it should then redevelop in the gulf of carbon interior to make another crossing on the / coast on Sunday. Well, very hot weather again over the interior ahead of the surface trough line with some isolated showers and storms on the change. Cooler southerly winds follow, but then not going to last as that high pushes through and gives this a fine warm weekend in southern Australia. The next trough line will move into bite on Sunday.
But tomorrow, heavy rain in the far north easing to some showers and storms as the cyclone moves west. Very hot over the inland with a band of showers and storms moving through. A top of 42 again in long ridge.
In New South Wales, some showers, possibly a storm, near the northeast coast, but fine otherwise. And there will be some strong winds moving up the coast.
Fine and mostly sunny in Victoria with light to moderate southeast to northeast early winds through the inland. And it’s the same story for Tasmania apart from the chance of a few showers about the northeast.
The high is going to keep South Australia fine too. A mild to warm day grading to a hot day in the far north. And for Western Australia, Cool loop with showers in the southwest of the country, but hot with scattered showers and storms in the north and the east. There’ll be isolated showers and storms over the territory, but fine to very hot in the south. |
