 The leaders of France, Germany and Spain have visited the site where the Germanwings' plane crashed into the French Alps. Search and Revovery teams have found the casing of the second black box, but not the box itself. 150 people onboard the plane, including Melbourne mother and son Karol and G. died in the crash. Investigators are now examining audio from the plane's flight recorder.

The competition watchdog is investigating whether Fortescue Metals' boss Andrew Forest breached the law by suggesting Australian miners should cut production to drive up prices. Speaking at a business function in China Mr. Forest said it was in the national interest to lift prices and boost Australia's tax revenue. Treasurer Joe Hockey says that would amount to cartel behavior. 
 
 
Controversial Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been dumped. The BBC has confirmed it will not be renewing Clarkson's contract after he had assaulted the producer. The broadcaster's director general Tony Hall says he greatly regrets having to make the decision. 
 
 
Yemen's president has fled his palace in Aden as Houthi rebels advanced towards the city. The rebels have seized a key military base and gunfire has been heard around the city center. Unidentified warplanes have also fired missiles near the president's compound.
