 1. Authorities in central Texas say more rains could hamper the efforts to search for eight people who went missing during a storm and flooding in recent days. More rain is expected Thursday night, and it could shift debris field and complicate efforts to find entangled (involve sb in difficulties or complicated circumstances from which it is difficult to escape) victims. 

2. President Barack Obama says the deadly flooding in Texas is a reminder that it's never too early to prepare for natural disasters. Obama commented while receiving an annual hurricane briefing during his first visit to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. 
3. Former NY governor Gorge Pataka announced his candidacy Tuesday, first on Youtube, then at an event in New Hampshire. The 9/11-era governor served three terms in his Democratic state. 
4. And this little guy was born in the Prague Zoo Tuesday. The tapir is the fifth born in the zoo. He will lose his stripes (条纹) after about two months.
