 Good morning everyone. The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcome the proposal to reduce Sunday pay rates for workers in the retail and hospitality industries. A draft report from the Productivity Commission calls penalty rates in those sectors to be boating to line with Saterday pay rates. Sunday penalty rates are currently one hundred percent, known as double time, while Saterday rates are twenty-five percent, all time in the quarter. The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry argues reducing Sunday penalty rates will lead to more jobs.
