Hidden in the gorge close to the river, the Dazu rock carvings are some of the few religious artifacts in China not to have been destroyed during communist rule. Dating back to 650 AD, there were more than 50,000 statues h* the rock here.
-This is magnificent! This is quite overwhelming! So these are all representations of Buddha.
-Yeah, it shows how important is the Buddha.
