　　The People's Bank of China (PBOC), the central bank, issued a notice on July 14 regulating overseas investment in the country's interbank market.

　　中国人民银行14日发布了关于境外投资进入中国银行间市场有关事宜的通知。

　　银行间市场

　　“银行间市场”可以用 interbank market表示，由同业拆借市场（interbank lending market）、票据市场（paper market）、债券市场（bond market）、外汇市场（foreign exchange market）、黄金市场（gold market）等构成。银行间市场有调节货币流通和货币供应量（money supply），调节银行之间的货币余缺以及金融机构货币保值增值的作用。

　　《通知》规定，境外央行、国际金融组织（global financial organizations）、主权财富基金（sovereign wealth funds）进入银行间市场，应当向中国人民银行（PBOC）提交中国银行间市场投资备案表。备案完成后，可在银行间市场开展债券现券（spot transactions of bonds）、债券回购（repurchase）、债券借贷（bond lending）、债券远期（trade bonds in forward markets），以及利率互换（interest rate swaps）、远期利率协议（forward rate agreements）等其他经中国人民银行许可的交易。
