 This is AP News Minute. 1. Pope Francis is wrapping up his US visit after visiting three cities before heading back to Rome. The pontiff met Sunday with inmates at a local correctional facility and then his tour with mass honoring families in the heart of Philadelphia. 2. Just days after pardoning and releasing two jailed Al Jazeera journalists, Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi says he is open to clemency (mercy; lenience) for other journalists. El-Sisi added he would respect the prerogatives (a right or privilege exclusive to a particular individual or class) of Egypt’s judiciary (the judicial authorities of a country; judges collectively), but was willing to aid other journalists who have been tried and convicted in absentia. 3. And inn the city of light, a day with no cars as Parisians were encouraged to stop using cars for the day in order to raise awareness for pollution. A quarter of the city was closed to vehicles all day, Paris’ mayor calling it a symbol of functioning without pollution. 4. And Greece has hosted the first-ever underwater dance performance as onlookers enjoy the show while snorkeling (swim using a snorkel). 14 dancers including some disabled people donned scuba gear (a portable breathing apparatus for divers) to dance at a depth for about 16 feet under water.
