Mexico has intensified efforts to find fugitive drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman after he avoided capture on Saturday.

The security cabinet says officials believe the drug trafficker injured a leg and his face as he made his getaway.
It provided no details on when or exactly where the operation took place, but there have been media reports it happened in or around Guzman's home state of Sinaloa.
Residents in mountain communities in the search area are complaining about the search operation and shooting by the military.
"Why did you start shooting? At our ranch, when the helicopter arrived at the ranch, it was already shooting.

"It would be very difficult for them to catch him (referring to "El Chapo") in the mountains, he knows the mountains way better than any American or any police officer or marine."
The drug lord was said to have flown to Sinaloa following his escape from a maximum security prison in July.
The search in recent weeks have been focusing on a rugged area that stretches from Sinaloa into neighbouring Durango state, part of Mexico's famed Golden Triangle drug-producing region that is considered Guzman's home turf.
