Couch's lawyers invoked an "affluenza" defense during court proceedings, claiming the teen was coddled into a sense of irresponsibility for the crime. A white Chicago police officer charged with murder in the 2014 fatal shooting of a black teen Laquan McDonald pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.
