3. Some of the armed ranchers occupying a federal facility in eastern Oregon say they think the federal government will try to arrest them. Local officials say they’re working on a peaceful resolution to the standoff. 
 
4. And Volkswagen CEO apologized for the scandal involving emissions cheating software in some diesel vehicles. CEO Herbert Diess made the statement before introducing an electric microbus and a second vehicle at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
