1. The president of Iran left for Rome and Paris, the first trip by Iranian president to Europe in 16 years. Before leaving Iran, president Hassan Rouhani said his country will sign two roadmaps with Italy and France that outline goals for mid and long-term relation with the 2 countries. 2. New Jersey residents are making the best of the major flooding that has shut down the roadways and damaged homes following the weekend-long snow storm. High winds and rising tides created a hurricane Sandy-like impacts on homes along the New Jersey shoreline.
3. Heavy storm in western and central Japan has disrupted travel, halting traffic and suspending flights. An intense cold weather front dumped snow over a large portions of the country over the weekend.
4. A group of female British rowers arrived in far-north Queensland after rowing all the way from San Francisco. According to local media, the crews began the rowing in April, 2015 and spent 235 days at sea.
