Top 5 Songs For Week Ending June 4

These are the five most popular songs in the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles Chart, for the week ending June 4, 2016.

In and out, here and then gone…the musical deck really gets shuffled in this week’s lineup.

Number 5: Fifth Harmony Featuring Ty Dolla $ign "Work From Home"

It all starts in fifth place, where Fifth Harmony re-enters with “Work From Home” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.

They came together on the set of the X Factor TV show…when head honcho Simon Cowell decided they’d work better as a group than as individual competitors. We could be talking about One Direction, but no: in fact, that’s how Fifth Harmony also got together. Their formation dates to July 27, 2012, which is why they titled their new sophomore album 7/27.

Number 4: Lukas Graham "7 Years"

Lukas Graham spends another week in fourth place with “7 Years.”

Band leader Lukas Graham Forchhammer says he had a rough childhood in Denmark. He grew up in what he described as a hippie-style commune in Copenhagen, to which drug dealers flocked. He says many of his friends grew up carrying guns and selling drugs. Lukas escaped through music. He began writing songs in his teens and formed his group in 2010.

Number 3: Justin Timberlake "Can't Stop The Feeling"

Justin Timberlake loses his singles crown in third place with “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” but his co-writer Max Martin just keeps on winning.

Justin co-wrote the song with Swedish pop mastermind Max Martin. Max now has 22 number one singles in the United States, putting him third on the all-time list behind Paul McCartney and John Lennon.

Number 2: Desiigner "Panda"

Desiigner rebounds a notch to second place with his former champ “Panda.” On May 26, the 19-year-old rapper announced his debut album. Titled The Life Of Desiigner, it currently carries no release date. He says it’s finished, and he’s already working on a second set.

Number 1: Drake Featuring Wizkid & Kyla "One Dance"

The rapper known as Drake is back atop the Hot 100, as “One Dance” rebounds one slot. What does Drake’s dad think of his new album?

Three weeks ago, Drake joked that his father, drummer Dennis Graham, hadn’t yet heard his new Views album, as he was busy in China. On May 25, Dennis set the record straight on Instagram: not only had he heard Views before the rest of us, he bought it the day after it dropped…from China.

Will Drake make it three weeks at the top? We’ll find out in seven days!
