1. France justice minister said the man who killed at least 84 people in Nice when he drove over a truck through crowds during the Bastille Day celebrations had a criminal record but nothing matching the seriousness of Thursday night's deadly rampage. 

2. Donald Trump is set to make his first public appearance Saturday with his pick for vice president, Indiana governor Mike Pence. The Clinton's campaign immediately pounds on the pick, saying Pence's supports "Failed economic policies that favor millionaires and corporations over working families". 

3. Funeral service in Baton Rouge for the 37-year old Alton Sterling , the African American who died last week in a police shooting capture on video. Two of president Obama's senior advisers were there, along with activist Jesse Jackson and reverend Al Sharpton. 

4. Tom Brady's decided to drop his appeal and served his 4 games suspension for the pro-football scandal, known as "Deflategate". Brady announced this decision Friday in a Facebook post.
