This is AP news minute. 

1.  The Olympic flame stopping Friday at Rio's most famous landmark, the Christ the Redeemer statue. At journey's end, the flame will be used to light the Olympic cauldron at the 2016 summer games opening ceremony. 

2. Despite the problems plaguing in Brazil, from Zika to crime and polluted waters, over 300,000 people from around the world are expected to attend the first Olympics set in South America. Officials say only 72% of tickets are sold. 

3. A Northern Virginia major is facing drug charges after his arrest in a meth-for-sex sting. Police say Fairfax mahor Scott Silverthorne was arrested after meeting with undercovered detectives at a hotel. 

4. And an Oklahoma game wardens have seized a mounted polar bear that had been on display at a Tulsa airport. Wardens say the bear, worth about $50,000 was legally killed 1969 in Alaska and brought to Oklahoma, but the person who had been in possession  of the bear didn't have the proper proper ownership paperwork.
