1. More than 400 Delta Airline's flights were cancelled on Monday after its computer system crashed worldwide. According to the airline, an early morning power outage at an Atlanta facility initiated a cascading meltdown. 

2. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump laid out his plan for the economy during a campaign stop in Detroit. Trump slammed democratic opponent Hillary Clinton's approach to the economy, while promising deep tax cuts and job growth. 

3. In a public address, Japan's emperor signaled his apparent wish to abdicate. Emperor Akihito expressed his concern about his ability to carry out his duties due to his age. 

4. And a drowning kitten was saved by members of the Italian coast guard in Sicily. The tiny feline was given mouth to mouth resuscitation after being spotted lifeless in the water.
