1. President Bush is getting ready to make his latest pitch on how to win the war in Iraq. He's set to tell the nation tonight that he's sending in more than 21,000 troops. A top aide says the president would also acknowledge it was a mistake not to have more US and Iraqi boots on the ground in the first place.

2. Officials in Somalia say US forces have killed an al-Qaeda suspect accused of planning the attacks on two US embassies in 1998. The US have been hunting for Fazul Abdullah Mohammed since then and have put a five-million-dollar bounty on his head.

3. Authorities trying to track down a missing 13-year-old boy in Missouri say they are following more than 220 leads. The boy was last seen two days ago when he stepped off a school bus. And police want to know about a white pick-up truck spotted speeding away from near his home.

4. Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro has suffered a significant setback. Doctors say they've been forced to remove damaged tissue from the horse's left hind hoof. Barbaro shattered his right hind leg in the Preakness in May.
