3. Jury selection is underway in the trial of former White House aide Lewis Libby. Libby arrived at the federal courthouse in Washington today where he stands accused of obstructing the FBI's probe into the leaking of the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame.

4. A fierce winter storm that left much of the Midwestern a shell of ice has now left its mark on the Northeast. Power was knocked out in large parts of New Hampshire and New York as heavy snow and ice downed power lines and caused treacherous road conditions.
