1. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a critic of the Iraq war, is leading a congressional delegation in Baghdad, holding talks with Iraqi leaders. Her visit with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is viewed by some as a declaration the White House alone will not control Iraq policy.

2. The only US military officer charged in the Abu Ghraib scandal will be court-martialed. Lieutenant Colonel Steven Lee Jordan ran the interrogation center at the Iraqi prison. He will be arraigned next week on charges including cruelty and maltreatment of prisoners.

3. A kidnapping case in Arizona is now a hunt for a convicted sex offender. A six-year-old girl has been returned to her family but police are searching for her alleged abductor, George Richard Horner. He'd been allowed to stay at the girl's home for several days.

4. How is this for special delivery? Someone sent eight yellow ducklings by priority mail to a woman in San Diego. Postal workers heard the ducklings and got permission to open the box to get the babies some food and water.
