1. Finally a break for upstate New Yorkers. It didn't snow Sunday and residents took advantage to shovel off rooftops. But some were too late. The heavy snow caused some roofs to collapse. Some cities have more than 10 feet of snow after 9 days of snowfall.

2. Senator Barack Obama says if Australian Prime Minister John Howard wants to fight the good fight in Iraq, perhaps he should send more troops. Howard criticized Obama for his position on the war. Obama says he's flattered President Bush's ally is attacking him.

3. A first for Harvard. Drew Gilpin Faust has been named the University's 28th president and the first woman to hold the positions. She is a noted scholar and historian. Faust takes over from Lawrence Summers who created controversy when he said gender differences could explain why women don't get top science jobs.

4. Felix Espinoza is not about to let a little thing like having no forearms deter him from painting. The Peruvian painter uses his mouth and foot to hold paintbrush. He's won international accolades for his watercolors and carvings.
