1. Residents up and down the east coast are bracing for Hermine, after the storm tore through Florida early Friday, killing one person, damaging property and cutting power to hundreds of thousands. 

2. Former Stanford university swimmer Brock Tuner was released from jail Friday, after just serving half of a six-month sentence for rape, a sentence critics denounced as too lenient. 

3. Samsung has suspended sales of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone after some of the phone's batteries exploded, as they were being charged. The company says affected customers will be able to get an exchange. 

4. Tens of thousands worshipers will be filling St.Peter square in just few hours, to witness the canonization of mother Teresa as a saint. Pope Francis will lead the canonization mass for the Nobel peace prize winner who died in 1997.
