第101课 在邮局

　　Tony and Xiao Li are talking about newspapers and magazines.

　　托尼和小李在谈论报纸和杂志。

　　A:Xiao Li,you know Beijing's full of different types of mass media in Chinese,but I can't understand any of it. Is there anything available in English?

　　A：小李，你知道北京中文出版的大众传媒很多，可我一点都不懂……有没有英文的？

　　B:Well, haven't you come across the "China Daily"?

　　B：哦，你看没看过《中国日报》？

　　A:Actually,I did see one old issue... yes. Is it good?

　　A：实际上我看过一期旧的……看过吧。它好吗？

　　B:Yes, I think it is quite good. It's certainly the most popular English language newspaper around. It covers all the usual areas:home news, international news, politics, culture, education,sports and so on.

　　B：好，我觉得那份报纸很好。它肯定是这儿最受欢迎的英文报纸。它的版面涉及常见的方面：国内新闻、国际新闻、政治、文化、教育及体育等等。

　　A:It sounds ideal... but how can I get hold of it?

　　A：听起来很理想……可我怎么才能得到它呢？

　　B:You can subscribe to it at any main post office,I think. I could go with you if you like...

　　B：我想你在各大邮局都可以订阅。如果你想订我可以和你一起去。

　　A:I'm not really going to be here long enough to make a subscription worthwhile. But are there any other possibilities?

　　A：我在这儿呆的时间不会太长，订阅不值得。有没有其他可能性？

　　B:Yes... there's "Beijing Review",if you'd prefer a magazine. Ifs published weekly... I'm not sure what it's like but it's probably the oldest English language magazine in China.

　　B：假如你想看杂志的话，还有《北京周报》。它是周刊……我也不太清楚它怎么样，但它可能是中国最早的英文刊物了。

　　A:That's fairly attractive, isn't it? Do you think they have them in the library?

　　A：挺吸引人的，是吧？你说图书馆里有吗？

　　B:Yes. So, if you want,you can go and read it there. Let's go and I can show you where they are.

　　B：有。如果你想看的话，可以到那里去看。我们走，我可以告诉你它们在哪儿。

　　A:Thank you very much.
