1.      I have four hundred and twenty-two friends

2.      yet I'm lonely.

3.      I speak to all of them every day, yet

4.      none of them really know me.

6.      The problem I have sits in the spaces between

7.      looking into their eyes or at a name on a screen.

8.      I took a step back and opened my eyes

10.    that this media we call social is anything but.

11.    When we open our computers

12.    and it's our doors we shut.
