This is AP news minute.

1. President Trump signed an executive action Tuesday to advance the construction of the keystone XL and Dakota access oil pipelines. The aggressive moves are a step overhauling America's energy policy and dealt a swift blow to Barack Obama's legacy on climate change.

2. President Trump maintained the false claim that there were millions of illegal votes cast in November's election. White House press secretary said today the president's belief was based on "Studies and evidence",  but didn't provide examples.

3. Emboldened by president Trump's inauguration, Israel approved the plans to build 2500 new settler homes in the West Bank, signaling a major ramp-up of construction, despite warnings from much of the international community that undermines the two states solution.

4. In Florida, a horse slipped into a deep narrow ditch before crews were called out to make a tricky rescue. The rescue team blindfolded the horse, placed the harness around its body before lifting the animal onto the road.
