1. President Bush meets Pope Benedict XVI defending his humanitarian record after the Pope expresses concerns about what he calls the worrisome situation in Iraq. On the streets of Rome, thousands of anti-American protestors denounced Bush.

2. It's a small fold in thermal insulation on the space shuttle Atlantis. Cameras spotting it during a post-launch inspection. NASA says it's not too concerned. Atlantis is on the way to the International Space Station.

3. Paris Hilton remains at a treatment center at a Los Angeles County jail undergoing medical and psychiatric evaluation. A judge ordered the hotel heiress back to jail serving out her 45-day sentence.

4. A climber is rescued in North Carolina at the bottom of a practice wall. He apparently fell off the sheer rock face. Rescue teams carried him back up to cliff, then to an ambulance, headed to the hospital. His condition isn't known.
