　　B:That's the waste from some factories.

　　B：是工厂排出来的污水。

　　A:But it's forbidden to let waste into the river directly.

　　A：直接排放污水是法律禁止的呀。

　　B:Of course. But some factories just don't obey the law.

　　B：当然了。但是有的工厂不遵守法律。

　　A:Why do they run such a risk?

　　A：他们为什么要冒这个险呢？

　　B:The factories can save a lot of money by that.

　　B：这样做可以省很多钱。

　　A:But the river is polluted?

　　A：可是河流被污染了。

　　B:Not only the rivers, but also the air and the soil.

　　B：不仅是河流，还有空气和土地。

　　A:The air is also polluted?

　　A：空气也被污染了？

　　B:Don't you see so many people cough day and night? Don't your eyes water when you are near the factory?

　　B：你没见有的人整天的咳嗽吗？在工厂旁边你不流泪吗？

　　A:Yes, they do. I just don't know why?

　　A：流泪。可我不知道为什么？

　　B:Because there is too much sulfur dioxide in the air.

　　B：因为空气中有大量的二氧化硫。

　　A:What should we do?

　　A：我们该怎么办？

　　B:Perhaps next time when we come fishing, we need some masks.
