1. The White House says president Donald Trump will not assert executive privilege to try to block testimony by fired FBI director James Comey. Spokeswoman Sara Sanders says the president's power to invoke privilege is "Well-established". But he will not take that step to ensure "Swift and thorough examination of the facts" related to Comey's firing.

2. Saudi Arabia announced on Monday it will be cutting diplomatic ties to Qatar and that it has pulled out troops from the ongoing war in Yemen. Egypt and United Arab Emirates also cut diplomatic ties to Qatar, further deepening a rift among Gulf Arabic nations over the country's propertied support for Islamic State group and its relation with Iran.

3. Police say a disgruntled former employee opened fire inside a Florida awning factory, killing 5 workers before killing himself. Authorities described the shooter as a 45-year old man who has been fired in April.

4. The mayor of London laid a virtual Monday evening to remember those who died or injured in Saturday's London bridge attacks. Authorities have named two of the three suspects in the van and knife attack that left seven people dead.
