After the first face-to-face meeting between Chinese president Xi Jinping and US president Donald Trump in Florida this April, the two countries have been coordinating closely over a series of high-profile events, including the 100-day plan aimed at addressing the trade imbalance between the two, as well as the US sending a delegation to the 1st Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held here in Beijing.

Concerning the cooperation on the Belt and Road initiative, experts believe there's potential for China and the US in collaborating in the area of African development. What's more, the trilateral cooperation among China, the US and Africa will not only be conducive to the stability in Africa but also to the sound development of Sino-US relations.
