President Donald Trump arrived in Las Vegas on Wednesday, where he visited privately with victims of the shooting rampage, their families and medical professionals. Sunday night's massacre was the worst mass shooting in modern US history, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 500.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters that he never considered abandoning his job as President Donald Trump's top diplomat, contrary to reports. He did not refute calling the president a "moron", though he dodged all questions on the matter.. Trump denounced the NBC report, calling it "fake news."

Leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee said they have not yet determined whether Russia coordinated with the Trump campaign to sway the 2016 presidential election. It's been roughly nine months since their investigation began. More than 100 witnesses have been interviewed and more than 100,000 pages of documents have been reviewed.

Hundreds of performers carried a 220-foot-long fire dragon through the streets of Hong Kong on Wednesday as part of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Their ritual dates back to the 19th-century Harvest Festival. Thousands of tourists and local residents gathered to celebrate.
