2015年CRI Li Keqiang: China and Malaysia should Deepen Cooperation(在线收听

Premier Li Keqiang delivered the keynote speech at an economic forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday.

"There is an old Chinese saying -'a close neighbor means more than a distant relative'. China and Malaysia are close neighbors across the sea. People of our two countries enjoy a long history of traditional friendship. Therefore, our two countries have broad future in trade and investment. China is content to open the door for Malaysia."

Li says China is willing to enhance cooperation with Malaysia in infrastructure construction and industrialization, as China has advantages in terms of steel-making and building materials. Meanwhile, China also welcomes Malaysian entrepreneurs to invest in China with their advanced facilities and technologies.

Li Keqiang says China will relax its market access for the services trades from ASEAN countries.

"The expansion of service trade is conducive to improving China- Malaysia trade. We should not only strengthen investment and trade, but also work together to contribute to a stable financial market. "

Li says the two countries have enjoyed wide cooperation in cultural and educational exchanges. Southeast China's Xiamen University will establish a branch in Malaysia. Meanwhile, more opportunities will be created for Chinese tourists to travel to Malaysia.

The Chinese Premier has also met with representatives from Malaysia's business circles.

The forum is part of the Chinese premier's official visit to Malaysia. Over the weekend, he attended the China-ASEAN leaders' meeting, the ASEAN-China-Japan and South Korea meeting, and the East Asia Summit.
