年初很多人都会用这个表达：
New year, new you: 新的一年，新的你！
所以我们也要来学一些新说法。
“新”的不同程度
New有时不足以形容崭新的程度，大家可以用：
1.Brand new: 崭新、彻头彻尾新。
不过这个短语和brand（品牌）其实没什么关系，意思就是指“非常新”。
怎么用：
I bought a brand new phone: 我刚买了新手机
A brand new car: 新车、完全没开过
想要更强调？
2.Brand spanking new: 语气比brand new更引人注意！
买了新东西，特别是新车，常这样形容：
Look at her brand spanking new car! 看她的新车！

“新”人怎么说？
1.Newbie: 新手、菜鸟
怎么用：
I'm a newbie when it comes to cooking: 我完全不会烧菜，是烹饪新手
I'm a complete newbie: 我是零基础、完全是新手
2.Noob: 菜鸟，和newbie相比，这个词有点贬义，意思是不仅是新手，而且还不虚心学习
3.职场新人、或者第一天到新公司，怎么说？
I'm new here: 我是新来的
4.Newcomer: 新来的人、刚加入的人，常用在聚会上
We have some newcomers today: 今天来了些新人
既然说到新人，还有newlyweds: 刚结婚的新人
5.New and noteworthy: 值得关注的新事物
6.Out with the old, in with the new: 旧的不去新的不来。
不含“new”，却很“新”的词
1.Latest: : 注意，这个词是最新的意思, 不是最晚
The latest and greatest: 一句押韵短语，形容最新、最好的
2.Fresh: 新鲜
Fresh off...(the boat): 初来乍到（以前都坐船，刚下船就是初来乍到）
3.Hot也和“新”有关系：
Hot off the shelves: 新鲜出炉、刚到店里
Hot off the press: 最新最热的新闻
4.绿色也是“新”：
Green: 青涩
I'm a little green. 我是新人，请多关照。
5.Spick and span: 这个短语强调非常干净、焕然一新，也许不是新的，但是保养得很好，就像新的一样：
The house is 10 years old, but it looks spick and span: 房子有10年了，但还像新的一样 |
