Police say a man traded gunfire with the officers in a lobby of the Trump National Golf Course in Doral, Florida. The suspect was shot and taken into custody. One officer was injured.

North Korean state-run media showed video of Kim Jong Un leading a meeting of military officials. South Korea says it believes the north wants to improve relations even though Kim's government pulled out of recent North-South talks.

A Las Vegas mall was evacuated after police received calls about a man wearing a mask and carrying a long gun. Police made an arrest but say the gun appears to be fake.

And authorities on Hawaii's Big Island are handing out masks to protect people from breathing volcanic ash. Volcanic eruption early Thursday shot a plume of ash about 30,000 feet in the air.
